Start a match

Play a head-to-head match with a friend: choose clubs or national teams, set your lineups and find out whose team is stronger on the pitch.

Both players need the same PSP build of PES 2014 and a compatible, up-to-date PSP Core. Modifications must also match. These instructions cover two players; menu names refer to the English version.

1. Install the game in advance. If needed, update PSP Core over your existing installation.
2. If you are creating the room: select PES 2014 at multiplayer.androidapplications.store, create a room, open the game and send your friend the invitation.
3. If you are joining: open the invitation, enter the password if required and press “Join and launch game”. If the game does not open, launch it manually and paste the invitation into the internet-play menu.
4. From the main menu, open Match → Adhoc.
5. Match host: Select Setup Room and wait for your opponent to join.
6. Other players: Select Search for Match Room. In Hosts List, select the host and enter their room.
7. Match host: Once both players appear in List of Participants, select To Next Match.
8. Choose your teams and kits, complete the pre-match setup and confirm readiness using the in-game prompts. Wait for the match to load.
